Scientific and professional activities

Born in Gorizia (Italy) in 1964. He graduated with full marks in Dentistry (DDS) and got a postgraduate degree in Oral Surgery (MSc) with full marks cum laude at the University of Trieste (Italy).
He has been adjunct professor in Oral Implantology at the School of Dentistry and at the Master in Oral Surgery of Trieste University since 2007 and, currently, is a research fellow in the same university.
In 2022 he obtained the National Academic Qualification as Full Professor.
Active member and Secretary of the Italian Society of Oral Surgery (SIdCO). active founding member and Past President (2017-2019) of the International Piezoelectric Surgery Academy (IPA), active member of the Bone, Biomaterials & Beyond (BBB) Academy and active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO).
Member of the Editorial Board of BMC Oral Health, BioMed Research International, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Research and Sinusitis. Author of more than 60 publications on impacted journals (total impact factor 176,377 – mean 2,672) and speaker at Italian and international congresses on oral surgery and implantology topics.
He works in the Periodontology and Implantology Department of the Maxillofacial and Stomatology Clinic of the University of Trieste and in his private office in Gorizia (Italy).
